First Planting Attempt

Last week I used this bottle to hold to onion in the water. I thought this would be the most simple technique so I attempted it. I also had garlic in another bottle. I had to place them indoors next to a window, as it has been raining non stop. I only planted one of each because I was not trusted with a lot of them. So this was like my first test. 

A week later I went to go check on them, and nothing had changed. The onion had a couple brownish black spots and the garlic had small sprouts coming out of it but nothing else. I might leave the garlic alone for a bit longer, but I am sure the onion has died. :( Time to try something else!
